Delete your Candil account

You can delete your account at any time. You do not need to install the app again to ask.

Delete in the app

1. Open Candil and tap Settings.
2. Tap Account.
3. Tap "Delete my account" and confirm.

What we delete at once

We delete your account, your sign-in methods, your sessions, and your sign-in codes. You are signed out on every device.

If you signed in with Apple, we also ask Apple to revoke Candil's access.

What stays and why

• Payment records. Stripe keeps Pix payments, and the App Store or Google Play keep store purchases. They are the accounting record of the purchase.
• Security records. Hashes of used sign-in tokens and attempt counts are not linked to the account. They delete themselves when they expire.
• Access records. Brazilian law requires us to keep the IP address, date, and time of access for 6 months.
• Backups. They are deleted in the normal database backup cycle.
• Prayer journal. It stays only on your phone, and deleting the account does not delete it. To delete the journal, tap Journal and "Delete the whole journal", or uninstall the app.

Store subscriptions

Deleting the account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. The store keeps billing you until you cancel in the store.

Ask without the app

Without the app, send us an email. Write only the email of your account. Do not send any other data.

We complete the request within [DEADLINE].

Requests by email are not open yet. For now, delete the account in the app.
